Worked on my 1979 Corolla for the past 10 years. Mark saves every part he removes/replaces, to show me just what was wrong with it. Kind of like a really good nurse ("well, see, this is your appendix, and this is a non-ruptured appendix..." come to think of it he even has taken to wearing latex gloves...) Explains each repair thoroughly. When I had no money for repairs, he would show me temporary fixes to keep my car running ("take a big metal stick and have someone hit the starter with it, right here, while you crank it..., that will help it start until you can replace the starter..") Also did a repeated repair from hell on the carburetor and since his first "fix" on it didn't work, he ended up doing several hundred dollars worth of repairs for some absurdly low price because he does guarantee his work...

Honest to a fault.

Mark is an excellent mechanic as well as an honest one. I do all the simpler repairs on my Toyota truck and take the tough ones to him. I've never been disappointed.

Mark is the person that talks to you about your car and he does all of the work. His customer service skills are great. He prints everything out on the reciept. When I don't have the money to get all of the work done, he prints out his detailed suggestions to refer back to at a later date. He keeps excellent computer records.

Mark certainly seems to know his stuff. He is very expensive and always really busy. I like that he takes the work order and works on the car himself. He always explains what he has done and/or what needs to be done. His computer records are fantastic and he always remembers me.

My ABS and brake lights came on in my Toyota last week. I took my car to a brake specialist shop which gave me an $800 quote on maintenance before looking at the brakes. The brakes they estimated at $650. I gave Mark a try, and he looked more deeply into the issue, finding the real problem and fixing it for $230. He also took a few minutes just to talk. He's got my business.

Mark worked on my Datsun hatchback when he was still a shade tree mechanic and was always reliable. The only reason I stopped calling him: when I replaced that car with a new 1989 Honda, I discovered he didn't work on Hondas, alas. I'm glad to see he's continuing a successful business which his customers appreciate.
