These guys are geniuses! They kept my 1997 Nissan Sentra going for 250,000 miles -- that was four years and 110,000 miles past the point that my former shop told me to junk it. This is the first shop I have been to that treats women as well as men. They try so hard to explain the problems and all my options to me, even if I start to glaze over, which I always do. Then they explain it again, always with good humor and patience. I first went to this shop for an engine re-build on the Sentra, at the suggestion of one of the many mechanics who thought it was over for the Sentra, at 130,000 miles. The owner of Alpine Auto Maintenance started the car; the engine purred, and he instantly said no way -- you do not need a new engine or a new car. He has always put my interests first, and found the most efficient, effective, and economical solutions for me. Three years ago or so, the owner of the shop made a modification to my Nissan's engine at no charge, because he couldn't get the oil to stop leaking, and it wasn't leaking for the expected reasons or in the expected places, and he was worried about me driving all over west Texas (hundreds of miles between towns) with this car. I finally sold the Nissan -- engine still purring -- and bought a 2001 Honda CRV, and I fully expect it to go 250,000 miles, with the help of this shop. I used to be terrified when I had any kind of car trouble. Just petrified that I had ruined my car, if anything went wrong at all. I had never had a positive experience with auto mechanics before finding Alpine Auto Maintenance. I haven't had a negative experience since! --Mimi Smith Alpine, Texas
