I took my BMW Z3 to have the front control arm bushings replaced because I injured my arm and could not complete the job myself. Alex, the owner, replaced the parts and called me with infromation on other items/discrepancies he found. he found a leaky power steering hose, worn out rear sway bar lonks, a worn belt and brakes that needed service. He asked me what I wanted done, and was quite open to the fact I would want to do the brakes myself. He did not object to the fact I already had bought the bushings, his part prices wre very reasonable. I admire that he checked the car completely, rather than just replace waht I brought it in for. I elected to do the brakes myself. I received a follow up letter about a month later reminding me that the brakes need service. Not a high pressure sales pitch, just a reminder that this needs attention.
