I hope my experiences with Cordova car care can help those of you that have found finding a good repair shop, a little difficult. I've brought my Accord to Ted,Greg & Bryan for the past few years. Before them I bounced around cordova and the surrounding area (including some dealerships) trying to find some one with the right Qualifications and Integrity to service and maintain my vehicle. I can honestly say that these Professionals are the BEST, they are fully trained ASE Master Technicians with over 25 years experience working on My Type of car. There prices were very reasonable and they were very courteous while explaining to me the repairs needed. Im not saying that enjoy having to have my vehicle repaired. But when it does need it I feel completely confident in there abilities to get it done right and very promptly. On one occasion my brake light was on, and I was quite distressed that my brakes might need major repairs. I was on my lunch hour and did'nt have alot of time to schedule my car for hours worth of work. I decided to stop any way and see if they could check it for me. When I arrived they were booked up with cars everywhere. I thought I'll never get this done in time. But to my suprise, Ted came outside looked it over and told me all I had was a blown out Tail light. He fixed it for me while I waited and didnt even charge me. Since then I've become a loyal customer and bring my vehicle there for everything. I hope this helps if any of you are looking for a great place to bring your car.

I have lived in the Memphis/Cordova area for nearly two years with my family of four, and recently made the acquaintance of the Cordova Car Care team. All automitive problems aside Greg, Jarrod, and Ted made the experience as painless as any car repairs can be. My grandfather was a diesel mechanic and I grew up helping him work on his tractors and family vehicles as a kid, meaning I know just enough to be dangerous. That having been said, after experiencing a problem with my wife's 99 Honda Accord, not starting, I began making a few calls around town to the various local service shops. Most of the shops I called were very vague regarding the costs of their diagnostic fees, and whether these were to be included in the cost of repairs. Again I'm not a mechanic, but I understand that a mechanic has to be paid for his/her time. I guess I was just looking for someone to be straight-forward with me. Continuing my search through the yellow pages I made the call to Cordova Car Care... I gotta admit, the guys impressed me. When I spoke with Jarrod on the phone he let me know up front about their check out fees, and offered towing as well. Fortunately I've got AAA (which I would highly recommend to any and everyone on the road) so the tow wouldn't be necessary, but here's the cool part. I told him about my experience with the car, and he took the time to listen. He told me he wasn't a mechanic himself, but was familiar with the starting problem I was having... he was being straight-forward with me! Yes!! I think I may have found my shop! OK. So I arrange with AAA to have my wife's 99 Accord towed to Cordova Car Care the very next morning, I should preface this by saying that we have already been without our Honda for an entire 24 hrs now, and for anyone out there with two kids, working husband and wife team, and only one car knows... that's tough! Within an hour of AAA picking up the Honda, I got a call from Jarrod telling me that they had recieved the car, and his technicians Greg and Ted were checking it out as we spoke... within another 30 min, I got a second call and wouldn't you know it, Greg and Ted had a complete diagnosis of the car for me. This time I got to speak with Ted who explained to me that my car's particular problem was in the "ignition coil", and then he quoted me their repair cost and further broke down the repair cost into parts and labor catagories for me. The real surprise comes when he tells me that there's no diagnostic charge and that the car is gonna be ready within the hour!! Sounds great to me, but being a frugal kinda guy, I had to make a few calls around to see how these Cordova Car Care fellas compared to some of the other shops in the area. I made calls to three of the very same shops who all but refused to provide me with details of their diagnostic procedures and prices just the day before. Not surprising, but Ted and his Car Care shop were charging nearly half what these "other" shops were charging. I called him up directly and said, "Do it!". By lunch time that same day my wife, Debbie and I were able to pick up our Honda, and we're back on track. Thanks again, guys. Sincerely, Larry Cosgrove

Ted and Jarrod were more than willing to explain what needed to be done and why, and even though I can wish it hadn't cost as much as it did, it needed to be done ... and Jarrod offered to bring me back to my apartment complex, but I waited - they had all the work completed and the car road-tested and back to me in about two and a half hours ... I've already recommended them to two other people since my visit ... I'll be back to see them, 'cuz they remind me a lot of the shop I used to bring my car to when I lived in New Orleans (Metairie area) ... nice guys who do a good job quickly and professionally ... btw, they didn't even know they were featured on your site until I mentioned it to them ... Thanks for making this list available - as someone new to this area, I wouldn't have known who to trust or not ... This helped by providing feedback from other customers ...Thanks again!
