Tim is the manager of the Service Center. He actively looks for ways to save the customer money, and reworks screwups free, without being asked.

Last year I ran over a 3/8 inch bolt which stuck in the sidewall of a rear tire on my Lexus. I asked Tim Caldwell (store manager) if it could be repaired. Naturally, it couldn't so I had to buy a new tire. When I picked up the car later in the afternoon, I noticed the new tire was very slightly different in appearance to the others. I asked the servicew manager about it and he said they didn't have an identical tire with the same speed rating to install, but there would be no difference. Since the difference in appearance was so slight and he assured me it didn't make a difference, I considered the matter closed. Later in the week I made a trip to Nashville and noticed a vibration similar to an unbalanced tire. I went back to the Goodyear store and told them the tires needed rebalancing, which they did at no charge. The same afternoon, I took a spin to check the balance - same problem! I took it back the next week for rebalancing. In short, the vibration was still there. I called Tim Caldwell, the manager of the store and told him about the balance problem. At his request, I took the car in the next morning and he replaced the tire with a new one having the proper speed rating at no charge and a sincere apology for the problems. He said you can never mix speed ratings and I have it on good authority his service manager got an intense "pep talk" for doing something utterly stupid. I have used this service shop since it opened and Tim Caldwell's father before that. They have worked on our personal cars and business cars - Lexus, Chevy pickups, Range Rover, Suburban, Buick, Honda, Toyota, etc. I've even called Tim while working in other states for his advice on a problem before carrying a car to a local shop for repair. They have always given us excellent service and treat my wife and daughter the same way they treat me. I wouldn't carry a car anywhere else except for warranty work.
