My car had a serious issue with it, stalling in the middle of driving 30-40 mph. Had it looked at several times by a few mechanics but the problem persisted. Finally was recommended to go to Omar's by my landlord. Turns out my car was under recall for the specific problem I was having. I wouldn't have known about the recall (I'm not the original owner of the vehicle) unless Omar took the time to research the issue. Now my car will properly be fixed under the recall for free. He's an incredible mechanic if you want your car fixed right the first time. I highly recommend going to his services.

I have unfortunately been to MANY mechanics and dealers for car repairs in the Northeast. But of all my experiences, I have to say that Omar is the best. And so far, he has never screwed up. He is thorough to a fault. He will find the problem you are aware of and all the others just waiting to pop up. And he fixes things the first time. He is extremely competent and even the local dealers revere him. I would even go so far to say that he is some kind of local automotive guru/ legend. Unfortunately his expertize does not come cheap. I would guess that he regularly charges 10-20% more than you might pay for a dealer to do the work. But you get what you pay for, if you can afford it.

All who work at Omar's are gems. They have fantastic skill coupled with a dedicated work ethic. I cannot always afford them, but try to, for my sanity and safety. I have a wide range of options for car repair, and they are first on my list if I have the funds. Like the other reviewer, I don't know how they are with screw-ups, as I haven't had any with them. It is fantastic and helpful for budgeting that they keep an eye on what will be a problem in the future. They are close to a bus line, always offer a ride, and have special arrangements for rates with the local car rental company.

I've taken my car to Omar as often as I can afford it. It is pricey - but he does a very complete job and takes the time to explain everything needed or done. I've never had a bad experience here.

Omar's great. He has a very analytic way of approaching problems, and explains what he's thinking very well. I had an old car with loads of problems and couldn't keep it running with many other mechanics, but once I brought it to Omar things went really well (until I got sick of the whole "really old car" thing and sold it).
