We were on vacation driving up from New York in our 97 Honda Civic, which had suffered flood damage earlier in the year. The battery died and after getting a jump, we took the car to Floyd's, who not only provided us with a new battery within 4 hours, but also diagnosed a problem with a belt making noise, which had not been diagnosed by either the insurance company mechanic, nor the dealership mechanics. He did all this with grace, while dealing with pressured phone calls from cranky New Yorkers that we needed the car back immediately. He gets an "A+" from us in terms of his professionalism and timeliness of the repair. Thank you, Floyd !!!

Drove my 1989 Isuzu Trooper (w/289K miles) from Tacoma, WA to Newport, RI to attend the Naval War College. By the time I reached Newport I could hear a distinct change in sound from a normal sounding motor to a more truck or tractor like sound. I searched this website and found a positive comment about Floyd's garage. He identified the problem (driver's side manifold gasket was worn and created a "hole"). Floyd spent two hours on the job and then took about 15 minutes to explain what he did and why he did it! To say that I'm satisfied in an understatement. Floyd is honest and well worth giving him your business if you are in the Newport/Middletown, RI area.
