Not usually open on Saturdays. Gene, the owner/primary mechanic smokes cigars. Competent, inexpensive repairs and service. Unless an emergency (and maybe even if an emergency) you will need about one week for an appointment. Gene seems to work on just about anything but is known as a MOPAR (Ford) mechanic. He did work for me on a Subaru, a Toyota, and a Chevy Blazer. PS. Gene is my SECOND favorite mechanic. Unfortunately my favorite mechanic hardly ever does any work for me anymore because he is too busy doing charity cases to take my money. So I just use him as my free psychological counselor.

Gene at the Car Barn is probably one of the best mechanics I know and he's a great diagnostician. I haven't had a lot of problems with my Acuras but when a dealer had fixed a front end problem several times without success, I went to Gene. He promptly identified the problem, fixed it and I never had a problem again. He's honest and hard working and you can count on him for a fair price to repair.
