Dan Haddle at Eurotech has been working on my (mostly basket case) SAAB's for 20+ years. (Last basket case car count from my wife who keeps track of such things was 17) Recently I purchased an '88 Turbo convertible at 10pm one evening, (such a deal I got) then limped it to Dan's shop by 11:30pm and dropped it off for him to discover this jewel, sparkling in the sunshine, when he arrived at his shop the next morning. Very early the next morning (a Friday)I left for a weekend trip with a Speech and Debate team. I was on pins and needles waiting for Dan's assesment of my latest acquisition. Late Saturday morning of that weekend Dan called to ask the question no optomistic basket case owner wants to hear;"Did you pay for this car yet?". My response, with my heart in my throat, was "Yes". Instead of hearing the preferred response, something like, Runs great, but it needs a little work, his retort was "I was afraid of that, you should know enough to have me look at these things before you buy them. Can you get your money back?". The "I had no time for this" arguement fell on deaf ears. Of course I couldn't get my money back, the former owner had already invested it on some hay burners at the local horse track. Anyway, as it turned out this car, which I knew had some issues, was minus most of it's floor compliments of a bad convertible top and plugged drains, which over time allowed water to collect in the floor pan and gradually rust away the floor as well as most of the cars structural integrity. Bottom line: I ended up with a pretty stylish boat anchor. Moral: Never buy a car in the dark, without a flashlight and a good mechanic.

Dan Haddle knows his Saab's. He is passionate about them, and great with customers. I only wish the shop was closer for me (approx. 40 mi.), but that won't stop me from going there.
