I took my car (Saturn SL1) to Dieseroth last year, after a nasty accident left it needing several thousands of dollars worth of body work. Paul Dieseroth, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The work did take somewhat longer than I had expected - the damage was extensive - but they did an excellent job. They also did the inspections (safety and emissions) and replaced the muffler, which was unrelated to the accident. I needed to bring the car back a few weeks later for some adjustments, which they did promptly and at no charge. I would recommend them wholeheartedly for body work.

These guys are great! I was sent to them to have a new clutch put in. When they took my old clutch out, they found another problem. They immediately stopped work and contacted me. They were able to explain the problem so that it made sense to me and I don't know anything about cars. They told me that it would be no problem to wait until I checked to see if the new problem was covered under warranty (of course it wasn't)I'm so happy to have found a mechanic who treats me fairly, was patient, and able to work around my schedule. They have a customer for life!

I called this place after seeing it on the Car Talk website for some minor car problems and an oil change. Being a woman thoroughly ignorant of car things, I was really happy to find that everyone I talked to was courteous and very nice. My gender, lack of knowledge, and young age didn't have any negative impact on how I was treated. They finished my car a day early and charged a reasonable price. One last thing: the place is still the same and owned by the same family, but is now under the name of Extra Mile Auto.

Between me, my husband and our kids, we have 4 vehicles. I stumbled upon Extra Mile Automotive about 3 1/2 years ago when I was driving in the southside area of Pittsburgh and my brake warning light started blinking. Concerned about driving it far without really knowing what the problem was, I used my GPS to locate the closest repair shop, and it turned out to be Extra Mile. They took me car immediately, even though I did not have an appointment. I was so pleased with their service that we started using them for our routine maintenance, inspections and repairs, and even body work, instead of the dealership we had been using. They do quality work, their labor rate is very good, and they are very accommodating to the customer. Most of the time you deal directly w/the owner, but even if he is not in the shop, his employees take pride in doing a good job and treating the customer fairly. I have recommended them to many people and they have all been pleased as well. I never feel like I'm being ripped off -- it's so nice to have a reputable place to take our cars!
