Very friendly staff. The owner Brian is helpful, and easy on the eyes too :) (that's just a bonus - the work they do is very good also).

They are AAA rated. They are friendly. Their knuckles don't scrape the ground. They took my car on no notice, put new front brakes and rotors on and did the state inspection in about 4 1/2 hours.

Fountain Street Auto is a true mom and pop shop. Mom and Pop are both always there, and son Brian runs the show (and I agree with the other reviewer, he's really cute!). Brian is very friendly, and clearly assumes girls like myself are perfectly capable of understanding car repairs. I've been there probably about 7 or 8 times now and every experience has been great. They're extremely honest - often trying to talk me out of making expensive repairs to my old jalopy - but their kindness goes above and beyond: Once I couldn't arrange a ride home from the shop and Mom offered to drive me herself, and seemed happy to do it, even though we ended up stuck in a traffic jam for 20 minutes. Only once did they screw anything up, and when I brought the car back in, they owned up right away, profusely apologized, fixed the problem immediately, AND, because the problem caused me to burn up a bunch of gas, Brian handed me 15 bucks in cash as I walked out the door to make up for it - I hadn't even asked! What more could you want? They also seem to have cultivated relationships with other decent folk: an autoglass guy and a tow truck guy they recommended both ended up being great. I can't say enough glowing stuff about this little shop - they are sweet and honest people who deserve your business.

They are great over there. I did have one of those moments where i thought they screwed something up, but really an oxygen sensor just blew.

They are awesome. I've been going to them since they were on Ridge and Shurs, and I've moved 10 miles away, but I've not found a better mechanic. Always honest, dependable work, but the kicker is that Brian will always let you know what they're going to do, and what they won't do but that you might want to consider getting done at some time in the near future. As in, "you're gonna need new tires in the next few months", but they don't lie to you and tell you that you need them now which I'm sure 90% of mechanics do. He gave me choices on a cat converter that was going to be expensive and did it for cheaper than if I went with a more expensive part. Who does that? Only issue is they seem to always be busy and getting in can be tough. And no Saturday hours. But that's about it. I've talked to other people who use them and they tell the same stories. Highly recommended!
