Joe is actually a welder who, long ago, worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube steel mill. When that went bust many moons ago, Joe opened J&L Welding (Joe Liptak is the J&L) He really became a great mechanic by default! He is a great guy who loves chocolate. Often he doesn't even charge you for little things, so then I bake him brownies, make cookes, or buy him those huge Hershey bars. For that, I have been named "cookie." The garage always smells like cigars and some kind of bad air and it's always amazing to me that he's so healthy. You come out of these stinking, but your car is always perfect. He's also the guy around her who does the state inspections (in PA you get these- keeps junks off the roads!) He's terrific!
