Steve is the owner of the shop and has three other mechanics working for him. His hourly rate is very reasonable, and with advance notice, he will even provide you with a loaner. He is very thorough and a perfectionist. If you have problem, he is always willing to take a quick look at a car and give you an assessment of what needs to be done and how soon he can get it done.

Used this shop extensively between 1984 and 2000. Very near my old place of work. Since then, have visited them less because of changes in my job location, and because of manufacturers' warranties requiring dealer service. But I still try to use them when I can. They kept my old Ford Escort and VW Jetta running long past their sell-by dates. I can't answer "They respond well when they screw something up?", because I don't remember them screwing up. Occasionally I needed some rework, but I attribute that to the age of my junkers at the time.

I had a good experiance with this shop, thinking I may have had a bad hub bearing they looked it over and were able to fix the problem with out replaceing the part. They also honard a gift certifacate for an oil change which was a year old, and did not charge the differance of the new rate. They also give discounts for being referred and referring customers. They had coupons sitting on the counter that I used for the service received which also reduced the price. I'll be referring and going back.

Steve operates a first rate business. He is aways honest and provides small town friendly service. His loaners are not luxurious, but hey, at least he can offer something to knock around in while your car is in his shop.
