Tom Schearer, the head mechanic remembers my car and history of my car every time I call. I never had that kind of relationship with my mechanic before going to Schearer. He explains everything to me and makes reasonable suggestions according to my needs. He's super pleasant, friendly and remembers me as a customer- anyone I know that goes to Tom has that kind of relationship with his shop. I am always impressed with the amount of record keeping about my car and the personal service. Unlike many small local car repair shops in my area, I am not treated any differently because of my gender or the types of questions I ask. His labor rates are average. The shop isn't the kind of place I feel comfortable staying for long periods of time, so I usually find another place to be while they're repairing my car. The parking lot is small and it's a dark remote area. His shop reviewed a potential new car for me, made recommendations (at no charge), explained repairs and answers questions over the phone at length on numerous occasion, and they have repaired my Acura well as the Mini Cooper in our family of cars quite a few times. I greatly appreciate his work and service.
