My parents and brother have taken their cars to this shop for years, and when I lived in the area, I also used the shop for state inspections. Earlier this year, I drove from VA to PA to visit my parents one weekend, suspecting that my brakes weren't great, but thinking I could get them fixed when I returned. (I later learned that, unlike most vehicles, my truck does NOT have the warning squeal that indicates worn pads.) By the time I got to my parents', I had ruined the rotors. With only a day's notice, the shop owner came in on Monday morning (after a snowstorm which caused a two-hour school delay!) to fix my truck and get me back on the road that afternoon. After replacing both rotors and putting on new pads for $200, he thoroughly explained everything he did to the truck without treating me like an idiot. I wish he was here in Richmond!!
