My spouse's family has known and swears by the proprietor and chief mechanic for years. Whenever my spouse and I have needed maintenance and repairs on our cars, we have made the half-hour trip (each way) for too many years. Often cranky and cantankerous, the proprietor knows cars and is far more knowledgeable about other things than he likes to let on. Most times he repairs things right the first time, but like most mortals, he occasionally makes mistakes. After some gentle prodding, he will right the wrong.

I like these guys! I generally know my stuff, and I don't tolerate bad customer service. I've gone in more than once thinking I knew what needed doing, and they've proven me wrong...often with a much less expensive repair. I also admire the fact that they give women the same treatment they give me. I'd recommend them to anyone.

We have used Thomas Autos for nearly 10 years and have always felt confident in the advice given and the work done on our two now elderly vehicles, a 1992 Subaru Legacy and a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan AWD. The only occasion that a problem arose with a fairly large job, the car was immediately 're-admitted' and the fault (which was never dangerous) corrected.

I first tried Thomas when I got a terrible flat in front of their shop. I went in with trepidation, and I couldn't believe how friendly they were; they fixed my flat in no time and refused any payment. Well, that was enough for me to quit my old mechanic who always seemed to make problems worse. I've been back to Thomas twice since, and I'm still very impressed. The personalities in the shop are quirky, and one guy really loves to talk, but I appreciate that they've never talked down to me as a woman, and they go into all the details and options. Now that my new car's "free" maintenance is up, I am relieved that I can abandon the dealership for Thomas again!

I have been to Thomas Auto for over 2 years now. I initially trusted them with simple oil changes and tire rotations, but my trust for them flourished recently when both mine and my sister's car broke down within the same week. They spent meticulous time diagnosing the issue and gave their best honest opinion on how to handle the situation. Us girls didn't know much about the situations, but they took the time to explain it as 'elementary' as we needed to understand it. They helped us come to solid conclusions on our cars at a reasonable price.
