Convinced fiance that full service was needed during an inspection. Since I had just changed the oil, they agreed to off a free oil change next time. Next inspection was told need both control arm bushings to pass over 3 hours work for over $400. I refused the work, then was told, well actually just need one, other one looks new. Had it fixed. Had to remind then the oil change was supposed to be free as it stated on the car's file even though was on bill... WHEN I CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL LATER, THEY FILLED IT WITH 5.8 QUARTS! The car has always been brought there, it is a 2.5L not 3.0 so only requires 4.2 quarts. IT WAS SO FAR UP THE DIPSTICK I DRAINED IT TWICE TO GET AT THE PROPER LEVEL AND I MEASURED 1 QUART AND 1 CUP TOO MUCH! Mistakes happen but that is serious. Thankfully it has had no problem since then. Sorry I didn't check it earlier, but trusted their work. I found a new garage. He is competent, fair, and honest at only $55/hour.
