I have been dealing with this shop for over ten years. They are very fair and honest. I am glad to recommend them to anyone. Also, they sell used Hondas, the only cars they work on!

These guys are great! I've been using them for about 7 years. They only do Honda & Acura, but what they do, they do well. They are realistic & honest. Once, another garage once wanted to replace an axle ($400) - said it would "probably" fix a problem. Matta's knew what the other place had said, could have told me the same thing, BUT instead they found & fixed the real problem - a leaking rubber seal, about $20. Another time, 2 out-of-town garages spent several hours on the car, without success. Matta's accurately diagnosed the problem & explained how to fix it in a 3 minute phone call. They stock used, rebuilt, & new parts. Their familiarity w/ Honda/Acuras is like going to a dealer, but w/ much more reasonable prices. They call themselves "a unique alternative to dealer service & prices", and they're right.

if i want i can buy used parts vs new. they treat females well and don't jack up the price or sell me something i don't need. also, if something will cause me trouble in the future they let me know.

The folks at Matta went out of their way to inspect a Civic I was buying from someone else, with no pressure to buy anything at all. On their advice I had a couple things checked & the car's been great ever since.

Matta Motors is the most honest mechanics I have every found. On many different visits, they have always explained the problem clearly, fixed it on the spot and their charges are very reasonable. One time a dealer told me that it would cost $600 to fix my Honda's air conditioning -- Matta Motors gave me a $200 price estimate. After fixing it perfectly and I had returned home, I received a note from them REFUNDING me about $90 that they felt they had mistakenly overcharged on the parts and labor. How honest can that be? How many times have you had a mechanic actually REFUND you money after repairs have been done? I wholeheartedly recommend them! I just wish they were closer to the city.

Ever since a friend reccommended Matta Motors for their excellent service and fair prices, I have been going there for 14+years. They have always repaired my Honda quickly and often for below the estimated amount by using used parts when possible...and by knowing what work is necessary and what is not. The few times I went elsewhere this has not been the case. Matta has always been honest and has saved me hundreds of dollars in repair work over the years. My next car purchase will be a Honda because I know it will be in good hands if it needs anything fixed. The only thing I would change would be the location...kind of inconvenient getting there...but when I do take my car it is worked on that day and most times I can I wait in the waiting room and take it home that day. Otherwise, they will tell me when I make the appointment that it will take longer and arrange for the loaner.

I'm on my third Honda and I've been taking them to Matta since 1986. They are, by far, the most honest and competent repair shop I've encountered. I've been to the dealers and other repair shops when in a pinch (and usually leave feeling ripped off or incorrect service provided), but always go back to Matta for fair, honest, correct and quick service. Matta Motors is not near my neighborhood, but certainly worth the drive.
