Honest mechanics (musn't own a boat) who do dead-on diagnostics and go the extra mile in keeping cars running reliably. we've been loyal customers for 24 years. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else.

I took my Toyota Matrix in for state inspection, oil change & tire rotation. I needed new pads & rotors and they gave me a choice of two price levels. Car was ready in five hours and they did not charge to rotate my tires, which some places charge $10/wheel for. Total bill was 1/3 what I paid when my wife's car had to have rotors redone a year ago. Convenient access right across the street from light rail made it easy to drop off the car & still go to work.

My wife and I moved to Bethel Park 16 years ago, and we asked friends if they could recommend a good local mechanic. More than one of them told us about and recommended The Garage. They never take advantage of a customer. I recently had my Hyundai start running on what seemed like three cylinders. I left my car with them and braced myself for a HUGE repair bill. They called me later in the day and said that the only thing they could find wrong was something very minor. The cost? Nothing. Some screwball mechanic could have made a couple of boat payments off of me and I could not have argued the point. These guys are the best.

I took my Toyota minivan to them. The service light was on and it was running rough. They had it for 2 1/2 days. They said it required an engine rebuild, which they wouldn't do. They did give me the codes and diagnosis from their computer. I then took the vehicle to a trusted dealer. The problem turned out to be a bad sensor that did not require an engine rebuild to replace. I don't know if I should be happy that they only charged me $75 or upset that they charged anything at all. They were honest about one thing - the job was beyond them. They were nice people and very friendly, but I doubt if I will return.
