My mechanic fixes the simple thing right the first time. So many shop over look the little details. My car is still under warranty w/ the factory. When I do experience a problem, I typical ask my local mechanic to trouble shoot the problem, then take it to the dealer for repairs. So far, he has diagnosed the problem (and fix) correctly every time. Although I spend a few dollars up front, I saves me hours at the dealer (and head aches) trieng to convience them that there is a problem. Before finding my local mechanic, I tried several others in my town to do the routine maintance work (ie oil, lube, tire rotation, etc). Boy what problems I had (stripped lugs, warpped front rotars, damaged oil pans, damaged body work from lifts....need I continue). Since finding this mechanic, trouble free. I highly recommend this mechanic. I now take several family members cars to him for work.

I go to Rich because he is honest, reasonable and trustworthy with my BMW (and therefore any other make). Does all his own work, no "trainees" prone to mistakes. He has his own BMW and understands the make. Also, his lot is populated with semi-exotics, so he has had great training with foreign autos. Honest and nice as can be. Does not recommend repairs before they are needed. Make sure you call before you come, however: he does not strictly adhere to his posted hours (he might be out road teesting a car or delivering to the emissions testing facility).
