Pete Pollard worked on my 1974 Volkswagen for the 17 years that I had it. When I knew an engine rebuild would eventually be necessary, he saved German made VW parts for it for over a year at my request to avoid badly manufactured parts from other countries. After 120M miles, he rebuilt it and I sold it after another 100M trouble-free miles to buy a '91 Mazda Miata. Pete has done all the tune-ups on the Miata, and his prices are way below the shop labor at the dealer. His work is always professional. He shows you the parts he has replaced, when necessary. If something doesn't need fixing yet, he'll tell you it's reasonable remaining life. He's a great guy and a very fine mechanic.

Pete has worked on a variety of cars for my husband and I over the past 12 years (3 volkswagens and 2 volvos). For the few years that I owned an American make car (which he doesn't service) I missed taking my car to him because I can always count on him to do a great job at a reasonable price. On top of being an excellent mechanic, he's also a great person.
