Went out of their way to find reasonably priced used parts to do the job at a reasonable price

The transmission on my 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee went out. I inquired of a number of off-road shops in Portland, and two of them mentioned Columbia. Took the vehicle in, they did a rebuild on it in a couple of days. That was 50K miles ago, and it still works great. Prices seemed reasonable, and it seems like a family owned deal that has been there for quite a while. I only had one experience, but I would go back.

I thought I might be low on transmission fluid or possibly more serious problem with my transmission. No waiting, they added fluid and test drove it and determined I didn't immediately need anything else, and just charged me $9 for the 2.5qts of fluid. I can't tell how good a job they would actually do repairing a transmission, but they seemed professional and could easily have tried to charge me more.
