I have been going to this shop for 8 years and with multiple vehicles. They are probably not the cheapest, but they are very competent, and actually fix things, even some rather strange engine problems on a Jeep. The owner is usually around, and he keeps an eye on things. In the rare instances where there have been problems (quality problems on rebuilt components), they have stood behind their work with no issues. On difficult repairs, I went so far as to leave my vehicle with them for 2 weeks while I was out of the country, with one of their mechanics driving the vehicle occasionally during that time in order to finally sort out the problem- turned out to be multiple sensor problems with the engine. I have never felt that anything they did was unneeded, or just for running up the bill. In fact, several times they have not performed requested maintenance because the vehicle just wasn't ready for it yet..."get it next time". If you are looking for el-cheapo repairs, go somewhere else. If you are looking for someone that can actually fix your vehicle, honestly, and are willing to pay an honest price for that repair, this is the place.

Ken Van Damme's Automotive was recommended to me by some folks at my workplace, and at first I used them for regular maintenance, and then started using them or oil changes when the jiffy lube kept putting on the wrong oil filter and it leaked all the time. Ken's found the problem and I've been having them do my oil changes ever since. It may cost $10 more, but it's so worth it, and they always tell you how your tires and other wear and tear items are progressing. They never make you feel pressured to have work you don't need, and work with you to plan when to get major stuff done so it fits your budget. I wanted to recommend them now because Friday I showed up on their doorstep before they opened when my car started running horribly and misfiring the night before... Even though they were booked up, they took me in, looked at it, found the ignition coil had gone bad, had it fixed and ready for me to pick up the next morning. They don't have loaner cars, but do have a special rate with a rental company nearby who picked me up, plus they have a bus stop right outside their shop. They will also drive you to somewhere local when you drop your car off if you need. Dan is the Man you'll talk to on the phone, and Ken is the owner -- they and their crew are fabulous and after many many years of dealing with them, I highly recommend them. They are the best!!

I have been going there for 5 years now with two Jeeps- never any problems. They are probably not the cheapest, but I have every confidence in them. They are very good at working through problems, and will avoid running up your bill shotgunning things. One of my Jeep GC's, 200K miles, developed a stalling problem when it was cold. They tried several times to fix it, each time attacking some more expensive component. I even left the car there on a three-week overseas trip, and one of the mechanics drove it home every night just to try to see the problem. It turned out to be some combination of crank-sensor, some other weird sensor, and the gas-station I was going to. I was very impressed that they stuck with it so long. Probably not the cheapest folks in town, but you get what you pay for. I would highly reccomend these guys. Only caution- they do not have the equipment to work on "off-brands"

Agree with the other review. Not the cheapest but very very good. I trust them to treat my wife with the same honesty that they treat me with. I have had many problems with shops ripping off my wife over the years but I completely trust this shop. And my wife likes them too!
