There is a running joke about Volkswagons, that you need 2 because one is always in the shop. I can't disagree as we have 2, one 1987 wolfsberg vanagon weekender and a jetta trek. The guys at fix-um-haus are intimately familiar with our cars and funny thing, were are not broke because of it! Thier prices are resonable, thier knowledge is unbelievable (these guys live volkswagon) I highly recomend them.

I'm not exactly sure what this shop specializes in per se, but it's definitely a small business focused on fixing the VW's of the world. We towed our 1997 VW golf here when the clutch went out during that terrible ice storm in early 2004 and they provided dream service. My husband is a worthy home mechanic and was also impressed with their work. They are really laid back in the special VW way and saved us money every step of the way by locating well priced parts and what not. I keep saying "they", but I think there may be only one mechanic (although I don't recall his name). In any case, this shop is great!

I took my VW Golf to the Fix-Um Haus for years. They are always cheerful, honest, treat me fairly as a woman, and have reasonable prices. I guess my only wish would be that their hours were longer--but everybody gets to go home and see their kids, right? Wholeheartedly recommended.

These folks are the best shop I have taken my '69 bug to, ever! They know their cars. They are honest and very helpful in understanding what your vehicle really needs and they do not suggest un-necessary repairs just to mark up the bottom line. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone with a VW. They also work on Porsche and Audi vehicles. They're busy so be prepared to leave you car with them but the wait is well worth it. You can't beat honesty and knowledge these days and for my money these guys are the real deal.

Among the other cars in the Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen families, they have a great deal of expertise in Volkswagen TDIs(diesels). I know this because they helped me with problems on our two TDIs. I trust these guys a great deal. They are straight shooters and took the time to help a guy that has a little car knowledge understand what's going on with my car. When they didn't feel they'd done work on the car(just diagnostics) they were kind enough not to charge.
