I work right across the street from an automotive shop, however me and everyone else in the office drive two blocks down the road to Mark's shop! The outside isn't pretty, but the work done inside is outstanding. His quotes are very reasonable, and he is friendly and knowledgeable. As a woman taking in her first car, he made the experience not stressful at all and he has never talked down to me. The job is always completed on time and I never have to worry that I am being charged for things I don't need- twice now I have taken it in and he found a minor repair versus charging me to replace something I didn't need replaced. He calls me and keeps me updated and will set a budget with me before starting work so I know what to expect. Some of the other people in my office have taken cars to him for years, and as our office grows, so does the list of people we send to him- from oil changes to mysterious engine noises- if you are tired of sleazy repair shops in Portland and you want something done correctly the first time and without having to sell a limb, take your car over to Mark Chace.
