This is the only mechanic I know, or can imagine, who told me, while I was a grad student, NOT to take a Lincoln Continental as a gift because the repairs would be so expensive (we did anyway, and he was right!) and then when I graduated, advised me to buy a Toyota 4Runner (right again!!). Along with other members from his church, he's helped organize a free car fix-it clinic for mother who can't afford car repairs. He even lets my dog ride in his truck!

He is a rare man, in being an extremely honest mechanic. And very competent. He owns his business - 4 bays and 3 additional employees and was recently voted "Stillwater's Best Mechanic" in the local newspaper poll. The only fault I can find with the entire business is a REALLY SCARY BATHROOM... so just make sure you go before you go ... know what I mean?

He's as honest as the day is long. I've brought in my car for what I thought might be a huge problem and he's just adjusted my carbuerator (how the hell do you spell that?) or reconnected a loose hose on my power steering. This guy even volunteers his services at his church to fix cars for single mothers and widows for free.

I had my car back the next day and it ran better than it did when I first bought it! Lonnie is an extremely nice guy who takes the time to chat with every customer and develops an instant rapport with them. The work is top notch, the help is friendly--what else do you need to know??

They have been serving Stillwater in their present location for 18 years. They are friendly and easy to deal with and very honest. They just added a new office and customer waiting facility that is very nice. It seems alot of recommendations for Lonnie's Service have been added to another shop in town by accident on this website but it does list his name in the title. Use him and you will be glad you did.
