Jerry's wife is an accountant for a Big 8 firm, so she has the expertise to advise him on how to increase his profits. He says, "Hell with that! My customers would lynch me if I charged them for shop towels like the dealership guys do!" He is an absolute throw-back to the days when a mechanic would rather die fixin' a part that replacing the thing with a new one. "That's throwin' in the towel..not being able to fix something before hangin' a bunch of new, needless parts on your ol' thunderbolt grease-slapper." Just don't ever tell him you weren't hardly moving when the car accidently jumped into reverse, causing a funny noise in the tranny, cause he'll look you in the eye and holler "Bullshit!" quicker than a presidential pants-drop. Great guy!

I found Auto-Teck by accident.... I ran out of gas ( gas gauge was malfunctioning) and was able to coast to a stop in Larry's driveway. He allowed me to use his phone to call a repair shop because I thought my fuel pump went out. After waiting an hour for a tow truck Larry came back out and told me that he has a shop behind his house. He said he didn't tell me before because he didn't want to impose himself. He immediately figured out that my pump was fine, I was just out of gas. He drove to a gas station, got some gas, and poured a few gallons in my tank. He then bled the schrader valve on the fuel rail... and my truck started on the first try. All of that and he didn't charge me a penny. Another time my truck was pulling to the right when I applied the brakes. I took my truck to Big-O Tires and they said I would need new brake lines and calipers, to a tune of $395.00. I called Larry on the phone and asked what he would charge for new brake lines and calipers. He said I didnt' need calipers. New lines, labor, and bleeding the system would cost $95.00. He saved me $300.00 over the phone!! As long as he is in business he will have my business.

Got the jobs done around my schedule as a teacher. Offered rides to get back to school before the boss or kids noticed I was gone and had it done before he said he would. You just feel by the way he looks you in the eye that you can trust him, and he hasn't ever shown me any reason not to do so.

After having a problem with my front brake calipers, I took the calipers to the shop to have the cylinders set back in. The price to put the piston back in the calipers was $5.00, I have never left an automotive facility to only spend $5.00. I would go back if I ever need assistance!!

Heard about Larry from a guy I used to work with, and when I saw him listed here I decided to try his shop. He's worked on an older model Honda I own twice now, and both times he's repaired the car right the first time at a very fair price. Second time I took it to him I had broken a spark plug with just the threads left in the head, and he managed to repair that for $125 after another shop quoted me $500 to pull the head, extract the plug and rethread it. Amazing work, fair and honest prices, and 1 mile from my home. Only mechanic I will use from now on. Ray from OKC

I lived across the street in a neighborhood from the shop. Needed some work done on my Honda. Called a few different places & was worried, because I wasn't going to be able to afford the repairs. I called Auto Tech, (Larry), and told him what I was told. He said bring it in for a "second FREE opinion." I'm glad I did, because he saved me over $250.00. That was over 5 years ago. I am so blessed to have found a great mechanic. It is nice to know he will be honest with me, especially because I am a female. 2 thumbs up!! I recommend him to everyone I know.
