A coworker had been taking her cars to "Dale's Certified Auto" for many years and recommended them to me. I had several EXCELLENT experiences with repairs to my Ford Focus before they merged with the shop across the street, built a new facility, and dubbed it "Lakeside Certified Auto." They were the first non-dealer auto shop I had visited in Lake county, and now I take them everything from rim replacements to new brake lines and O2 sensors. They are friendly, direct, work quickly (I usually have my car back same or next day, even when they need a part), and best of all, charge half the price for labor as compared to my local dealerships! They are open 7am to 7pm six days a week, which is great for my schedule. Twice they have put the car up on the lift, found something that it takes 10 minutes to diagnose, and sent me out the door with no charge. Their estimates are fair and they have always charged what they have quoted me, and if they have found other problems, explained and/or showed me the problem and gave me a new estimate and the option of repair before continuing. These are the things shops are supposed to do, and yet we all seem surprised when they actually follow through. Well I am going to keep taking my old cars to Lakeside for both routine maintenance and serious repairs!
