The shop works on japanese cars and promotes reasonable maintenance schedules. The owner fixed a problems with a timing belt they installed the next day and offered me a loner truck to go to work.

The above comments are based on service performed on the 1995 Geo Prism my wife and I own. I have also had them do some maintenance work on my 2000 Honda Accord. Here's a story that I was surprized by when it happened to me. Recently, the Geo had Transmission Service. The owners manual recommended it, for the age and mileage of the car. This is something I've always thought of as a mileage- driven service (based on amount of miles on the engine). After having this done on the Geo, I brought in my Honda for the same service. The mechanics actually recommended that I wait a while before having this done. They said the transmission in the Honda looked just fine. They could perform the service work if I still wanted them to, but actually suggested coming back in several months/miles. So, now I'm waiting. I was shocked that they actually approached me about this. I took the Honda in asking for the service, and expected that they would tell I'd waited too long, or something. Jim's Auto Clinic has always provided timely, competent, and specific advise when advising me of repair work that they recommended. I have been a satisfied customer with Jim's for over 3 years. In fact, when I had a accident a year ago (June of 2004), I called Jim's to find a good auto body shop. I knew they were not a body shop, but I trust their judgement. They were happy to recommend two in close vicinity to their shop. They stated that they use these two body shops when they needed to have auto body work done, either for clients, or for their own vehicles. I highly recommend Jim's Auto Clinic for any auto maintenance work. They specialize in Japanese Imports (Acura, Honda, Infinity, Lexus, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota). Sincerely, -Paul Eagar Cincinnati, OH

I've never had a problem dealing with them.

They are good about telling you about upcoming maintenance without selling it. Had a "quick-change" oil place tell me my brakes were worn out. Took it to Jim's, and they checked it out. Brakes had plenty of life left in them, and they didn't charge me to look. Said they didn't do any real work to charge for. That's why I still drive there for all my maintenance even after I moved 25 miles away.
