I remember one time I had an electrical problem that no one could figure out. I took it in to Ron'. Ron & I discussed the problem & of course it wasn't happening at the time I was there. Ron Said he'd have to spend some time with it so that he could actually see what was happening. After discussing the rates for an electrical problem he took me home & drove my car back to the shop. After driving my car for 3 days, he finally experienced the problem. It took him another two days to track it down & repair it. He had my vehicle for a total of 5 days, but only billed me for 8 hours of work. He knew I didn't have the money to pay for 5 days of work & didn't try to bullshit me. He explained that though he had it 5 days, he didn't spend 8 hours a day on it. Ron is about the most honest & friendly mechanic I've ever dealt with. I recommend Ron's Auto Clinic over any other shop in the area.

Ron has been a neighborhood repair shop for about 15 years now. He's always willing to give the locals a ride home if he has to keep their car. He provides quick, reasonable quotes on repairs. If he breaks something else in the course of repairs, he'll repair broken parts at his expense. He's had 5 years experiance in a Chevrolet dealership & a total of 36 years repair experiance. Ron's an easy-going guy that will go the extra mile to make sure your experiance at his shop will keep you coming back. He doesn't do any advertising, just relies on word of moutn. He's got a great reputation in the Girard area. I highly reccomend this repair shop.

Ron has always gone the extra mile when I needed repairs throughout many years with different models I owned. He has never messed up any thing. He has always been 100% fair doing quality work and repair costs. I reccommend him to any one, any time.

If Ron feels that the repair is too costly,he may advise you to replace it, and if you wish, he can sometimes put you in touch with someone who has what you need at a price you can pay. If he does not actually do the repairs on your vehicle, he is there to supervise his mechanic when needed.

After reading the comments submitted by other folks I decided to give this shop a whirl and set up an appointment for a problem with my Jeep running rough and throwing some service engine codes; I knew things were a-foul with my transportation, and since the code was so general in nature and probably needed troubleshooting (which it did),I was concerned about getting hosed by someone who wasn't honest in case it was just a short somewhere. Low and behold, I meet Ron, great guy, great service. He actually did what everyone commented on this site. I was floored and happy let me tell ya. He found my issue and didn't even charge the diagnostic because he was able to pin it down so fast. He and his nice son worked on my vehicle and fixed it under the time quoted in the workshop manual. I will be back for sure the next time I need service; thanks Mechanics Files for the hook-up....

Ron is the BOMB! I've had an ongoing issue with a noise in my front end for months. I've taken it to three other shops prior to seeing Ron. Two shops couldn't find the noise and the third shop said they knew what it was, fixed it at a cost of $250.00, & the noise was still there. Finally, I had a friend recommend Ron. I gave him a call, told him my problem. He set me up for an appointment the next day. When I got there the next day, he discussed the problem with me, took it for a ride, then pulled it in on the rack. Once my car was in the air and he had looked at it, he had me look at what he found. it was a bushing on the lower control arm that was separating. Cost - $ 105.00. Result - no more noise. Had me in & out again in a hour and a half. Awesome guy. I recommend Ron's for all your service needs. Thanks Ron! I'll be back.

Oct. 26, 2012 We were visiting in town when our tie rod to the steering started acting up. We were referred to Ron's Auto by the front desk clerk at our hotel. When we called, Ron said he could see us that morning since we were only in town for a few days. We brought our Dodge Grand Caravan down for inspection because the steering was acting "funny." Ron put the car up for a close look and found that the tie rod was about to break off. Ron ordered the part (tie rod) and had our car fixed within 45 minutes start to finish. His labor cost was very reasonable. Ron was very kind, honest and fair to us. Had we continued driving the car the way it was, we would have lost the steering ... You cannot find a more honest, competent mechanic in Youngstown. Thank you Ron!
