Jim RULES!!!! My family has gone to his shop for the last 12 years, and has had great service. He is easy to get along with and is eager to fix problems the first time! His shop is the cleanest that I have ever been in, and I mean every time I am there. I chose an import (96 VW Jetta) based on his recommendation (he owns 3 VW's) and my step-father is currently shopping for an import, specifically with Jim in mind. We do not want to give him up as our mechanic, because, as I said, HE RULES!!!! Chris

Mr. Davidson is always helpful. I can describe a sound or potential problem and he never laughs at me (not a lot anyway). He is always willing to take a look at my car with me and explain the possibilities. I appreciate the extra time he takes with me and my car! He's in charge of my car and basically my safety, since I drive an hour commute each day. I rely on his wisdom...which is vast.

A rare gem--an honest mechanic with personal service. He replaced the timing belt in my daughter's Protege' at much less the price of competitors, and made her comfortable in explaining what he was doing and what the cost would be. As my daughter said, "what a nice man".

Awesome. It is pretty rare to have a mechanic who actually repairs the car for less than their initial estimate. I've been going to Jim's since it was his Dad's place and the repairs are always great, prices are great and I get treated with respect. I've sent at least 7 other folks his way and each one has thanked me for it.

He was very patient, and did not pressure me to make any decisions. He explained exactly what needed to be done, and after he did it he explained what he did.

Jim has wolked on all my cars for the last 16 years. Starting with my 89 Jetta and 93 Vanagon and now my 99 Accord. Runs a clean shop with professional service. He's somebody you can really trust as your autocare technician. He keeps me aware of future routine repairs (like brakes, clutch, etc.) so I can budget for it and it's not a suprise when the repair needs done. And his estimates are always within dollars of his final bill. -Jan

Excellent, intelligent work done on my '91 CRXsi w/244M... brakes, tune up, trans & clutch repair & normal maintenance done as explained and priced, plus in a timely manner... sure beats my Honda dealer in skill & service (and he did't break parts at my expense) Great personal service in a clean shop. Well worth my 90 mi. drive to get there...

Jim provides excellent, honest work in short amount of time. From changing the headlights to reworking a oil pan, there is no one else I will take my car to!

I've only recently starting using Davidson Auto Repair (based on the reviews listed on Car Talk) and so far I'm impressed. Mr. Davidson has correctly fixed my Audi in a timely manner, and at a price that was well-less than 1/3 what the local dealership wanted for the same repair. He doesn't advertise commercially, but positive word of mouth reviews from consumers should keep him busy.

A one man shop that has provided my wife and I superb service for 6 years. Quality work, explained clearly and no attempt to get you to do something you don't really need (unlike most shops). I can't recommend him strong enough.
