My wife and I have used Garage Fournier since ~1998. My first experience with Gilles Fournier (owner/operator of Garage Fournier) was when he turned down "easy money" after I asked him to do a tune-up on my 1995 Ford Probe. He could have easily done a generic tune-up, then stuck it to me big time for the repairs that my car TRULY needed. Instead, he checked things out and let me know what repairs were needed. These were done at a very fair price. Gilles also declined unnecessary brake work on my wife's Saab 900 that the dealer said we needed (brake pad replacement, when the pads still had 20K miles left on them). Gilles has kept our 1999 Subaru Outback wagon running over the years, with CV joints, brakes/rotors, exhaust work, and minor engine repairs. He's also worked on my 2003 Subaru WRX wagon. I trust him implicitly. Gilles has proven his honesty and the quality of his repair work time & time again over the past 11 years. He's a GOOD GUY. Don't be scared away by the apparent oxymoron (French auto mechanic), and give him a try.
