I do most of my own work on my car, but I was getting fed up with the clutch on my 1989 Pontiac Sunbird. I decided to take it to Bobby Layman, since it was late evening and I needed the car quickly- they are open until midnight on weekdays- and I knew I would recieve very competitive pricing, and the mechanics know GM cars well. It turned out that I had been using the wrong clutch disc. The mechanic who serviced my car made sure I understood, but did not berate me, and installed the new disc, cleaned up the engine and transaxle, made sure all fluids were correct, and inspected the car and work without giving me any stories about some part that was in need of repair now, as many mechanics do with cars that have as many miles as mine (I drive over 200 miles per day; they add up! I would recommend bobby layman to anyone who asks me.
