This shop was recommended to me by a co-worker, a recent widow who was suddenly faced with things her husband always handled, including car repairs. She got the name from a policeman who was employed as part-time security here at work. Ray lets me bring in my own parts for him to install if I want, because he says the shops don't get any discount at the parts places anyway, so he doesn't make enough on parts to demand I get the parts from him. When he replaced the engine in my Buick, he gave me a price up front and, even though he ended up replacing more parts than he'd planned on, he didn't raise the price. In fact, he dropped the price by a SUBSTANTIAL amount because the repair took longer than he'd planned; he didn't like the first engine he'd had delivered for my car, and it took an extra two weeks to get another one. I'll NEVER go anywhere else.

Ray is very honest. His shop is excellent for mechanical repairs, and above average for electrical/electronic. If he can't fix it, he won't charge you for inspection. He let's you bring in your own parts. He treats customers well. He almost always finds a way to work you in if you have a surprise repsir. I trust him and would recommend his garage to anyone.

I'm 70 years old and have worked with many auto repair shops. This one is the best of the lot. One winter my fan belt broke about 10 miles from this shop. It was early on a cold morning, so I decided to drive the car straight to this shop. I got to the shop with steam blowing out from all over. I thought I had wrecked the engine. I parked the car in his lot and left a note. The owner called me later in the morning, and I told him the problem. Around 4 in the afternoon I called to see how what repairs were needed. The owner told me that the car was repaired, and there would be no charge. He put some chemicals in the cooling system that stopped all the leaks. The owner said, "See if this works, and you can pay me latter." It worked, and he never accepted any payment.
