I didn't answer all the questions about specialties or guarentees because I don't know, but John Pepper (uncle of the pro golfer Dottie Pepper, apropos of nothing) left the garage in the capable hands of his assistant, Byron, when he retired and it is still a place I wouldn't hesitate to leave my car. I trust them implicitly - they tell me when I DON'T need things done. They explain everything; they all have a sense of humor; they don't mind when I bring my dog in to wait for my car with me. They fit me in when my inspection has expired (every year). I knew I was going to the right place when John told me (2 cars ago) that he wouldn't take my $$ any more because my truck was in such rotten shape he thought I was going to die in it. He DID still work on the car but said I needed to save for a new one! When I gave the truck to my brother (to haul rocks for a stone wall) John asked if I hated my brother.... they are terrific.

I was a total stranger who broke down in their city over a holiday weekend. Despite being very busy, Byron moved my car up and got it fixed quickly so I could get back to home and work. Everybody told me they would be great, and they were! And the price to fix was very reasonable.

Byron and the entire staff at Marion Ave have been servicing our 2 Toyota's now for 3 years. He is honest about what needs to be done, and the work is usually completed early. I usually drop my car off, and they call me and let me know it's done and the cost of the repair, which has always been reasonable. Keep up the good work!! Thanks Tom and Ray for making me enjoy my guilty love of cars.

I LOVE my mechanic! Byron runs Marion Ave operation and he took over from John Pepper who knew (and remembered) more about my cars than I...even past cars. ("no, we didn't do that on this car, we did that on your truck" kind of thing). I have had 4 cars in my life (and have always had a car since age 17), I am 52 so I keep my cars a long time. Therefore, having a great mechanic is important. I have had them call and tell me they didn't do an asked for repair because it turned out I didn't need it. I kid you not. While they don't have loaners, they have always given me a ride if needed (and are always so damned cheerful!). The only hesitation I have about writing this review is that if they get more popular than they already are I'll have to wait longer for an appt. If they had a veterinarian, a gynecologist, and a wine store on the premises, it would be one stop shopping!
