Incredible diagnostic skills are Craig's specialty, while Rick's workmanship is superb. Larry, the owner, is a specialist in race car engine work, and the shop does quite a bit of race car prep. Plenty of exotic cars go to Eksten's. My wife and I drive non-exotic iron, but we get treated cordially and cheerfully, just like everyone else. They are the same way with minority customers, or customers with special needs. They are prompt and reasonable in cost, and scrupulously honest, even though I think they know how good they are!! Special benefit of taking a problem to these guys is the hair-raising test ride with Craig (a professional race driver) to see if the suspension clunk only appears in left turns of greater than 0.9g, or if the steering glitch gets worse in a high-speed four-wheel drift. Of course, only if the customer approves.

Larry & Rick treat everyone with curtesy. They are honest and fair. You won't pay for what you don't need.

Larry built an engine for my 1979 1.5L ITB rabbit in 1986. The engine has had 3 owners since and it still runs strong. Craig designed the suspension and Rick preformed the necessary PM. I turned a 2:34:20 on the long course at WGI in 1989

When we moved to Rochester, we were lucky enough to stumble upon this great garage. We have always dealt with Rick, although everybody there knows what they are doing. The work they do at the garage is absolutely top notch.
