Rick and his wife Sandra have changed our view on auto repair. My Husband and I have had many cars, and many problem with our cars. The biggest problem was that we could not find a repair facility that could fix anything right the first time . Rick is the owner, and I guess what won me over most about him was the way he took the time to explain exactly was was wrong with our Mercury Sable and our Audi 90 when ever we needed service . My Mercury Sable always wore the tires out and drifted to the right. We brought it to the dealer and two othe repair shops, none of which could correct the problem. Rick did a four wheel alignment and sold us a great set of tires and tires. 40,000 miles later the tires are still wearing perfectly and still have plenty of rubber . The dealer would always charge us too much to service our Audi . Rick has done a fine job of servicing that car as well. Over all Broadway Auto Clinic is the best shop in town.

we've used this shop several times with several different cars both foreign and domestic. They have done great work at a reasonable price. even with a major repair they shopped several junk yards to find us a newish part at a good price. They even recommended when we shouldn't bother to fix something that wasn't worth it given the age and high mileage of the car. would highly recommend it.

This shop is competent and honest. My most recent repair was replacement of the wires/spark plug cap things. They didn't get it done the first day but gave me a discount for having to go to the trouble of bringing it back the next day. Also have gotten new tires from them, and they replaced one for no charge when I blew it running into a curb shortly afterward. They replaced my radiator also (had to take that back to them the next day because they left the valve open on the bottom when they installed it, though). They seem very good at correctly diagnosing problems based on the symptoms I describe to them. They are on the #22 CDTA bus route, which is very convenient. They will call a couple of days after a repair to see if everything is OK.

Thank you, CarTalk, for this wonderful directory. After getting a new clutch from another shop my Subaru was making a "clicking" noise and shifting was a bit difficult. I took it to the installing shop, and he told me it wasn't his clutch job, and he'd have to take the transmission down to find out what it is. When I took it to Broadway Garage, Rick put it up on a lift, diagnosed the shift problem as a linkage adjustment, fixed it and only charged $32. On a second trip, he diagnosed the noise as a rattle and fixed it at no charge. It's a high-mileage (85,000) car, and Rick reviewed with me what it needs (tuneup and timing belt), and what I can hold off on fi I'm trading it in soon (suspension). I'm not very car-savvy, but Rick was patient and clear without being patronizing. His wife works at the service desk and treats each customer like he/she is the shop's only customer. They are a very nice couple.

I first came to Broadway looking to have Rick upgrade the supercharger pulley on my vehicle. I had purchased the part online and realized pretty quickly this was over my head. I brought it to Broadway, and you could see the gleam in Rick's eyes--he obviously enjoys making cars faster. :) Anyhow, they worked on it for 90 minutes, but couldn't pry loose my old pulley. Unlike any dealer I've ever used, he didn't charge me a dime. I went back shortly thereafter with a new core assembly for the supercharger, which they installed with no trouble. I also had them rework my exhaust and intake systems...and got out of there for a cost that was far, far less than any other shop would have charged. On top of that, Rick took the time to explain future options for increasing the car's performance. Since then, I've been back for some normal maintenance work--and no change. They are not the fastest shop around, but they take the time to do the job right and for a great cost. I will finally add that I now use them for all my work--and they are located almost 20 miles away from me! That's how good this shop is!

I was unfortunately left in the lurch by my regular mechanic. I read about this shop here and decided to try them out. Sandra knows her stuff about car parts. Her husband, Rick is a great mechanic. Deals with you up-front and takes the time to explain things. Gives you options, if there are any. Prices are reasonable and they are conveniently located. Rest easy when you take your car to them. You can trust them. After the job, Sandra also called me back and asked how everything was. Wow! I think I have found my new mechanic.
