Richard and his brother are the third generation of the Miltner's to repair cars in this small hamlet on Long Island. They are honest repairmen. I have lived in Florida for a number of years, and sometimes my 83 year old parents are left in NY during the winter months. For 2 years, they plowed my parents driveway, without telling them. My folks thought they had a guardian angel, I told them guardian angels go to the islands in the winter..! Miltners just figure that's what a community is all about. Low key and helpful. They are not cheap, but you always get what you pay for. Their prices are fair.

I have been teaching in the local high school for over 30 years. When I began, their mother was the school nurse, and their father ran the shop. Three of the "boys" children have gone through the school where I teach and more are on the way. I don't think there is any truth to the rumor that if they don't treat me well I will rat on them to Mom/Grandma...
