Pete is the hands-on Owner of Crescent Beach Automotive. Not only is he there all the time, he sets up most of the appointment, AND does work on the cars in the shop daily along with his other help. Extremely knowlegable, very competent and always realiable. I think that all his clients find him by word of mouth, as his repair shop is not even visable from the road. It's tucked away back behind some other industrial buildings used by Moreto's Masonry Supply. As you drive into Morettos just continue along the road on the left side and you will come around to the back where Crescent Beach Auto will be on your left side. Don't be turned off by the rough industrial buildings that you pass by. Totally safe area. Even more important Pete does have all the current computers and diagnostics and all the equipment necessary to do all auto maintenance and repair work. Pete seems to do most of his business with almost all repete customers. I first ran into him some 12 years ago when I moved into the area and a friend of mine told me about Pete when I was looking for a new mechanic. He has done all the service on all three cars that we have. A Volvo 240 and two Mercury Sables. The Sables have 120,000 miles and 145,000 miles on them and they are going strong with regular service and maintence from Pete. We've never had a breakdown on the road of any of the cars he's serviced. He always keeps you informed of whats happening with your car. If you are having him check out your car and he finds something different that what was thought, he will call you before going ahead with any other work. Also, when ever the car in in for typical maintenance or inspection he will tell you what items or systems you should keep an eye on, or that will need service / repair / replacement in the next 3 months, 6 months etc. Typical hours are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m Service is by appointment. Generally you can get an appointment in a week or less. I've never had to wait for more than a week for service. In emergencies, he will still take you car immediately, and when possible try to take car of the problem within a day or two. Pete has also had a long time interest in auto racing. He's also built and raced his own race cars. So his shop has a lot more machine shop equipment then you usually see in a car repair shop. Volvo's are a special interest to him and he's owned and serviced and upgraded numerious models over the years. With Pete he does the repairs and service by the book, but goes so much further than that because of his knowledge, expertise and just plain enthusisiasm for cars ! Last word: The most realiable service shop I've used since I started driving 35 years ago.
