these mechanics are simply wonderful. besides being professional, friendly, timely and providing solid work at a more-than-fair price, they remember who i am, what i drive and what work needs to be done on it whenever i call them up about scheduling an appointment. they are open saturdays as well, which is wonderful for not missing work. i've never waited longer than i was told i would to get my car back. i've never had to wait for work. once i was concerned the alternator on my '97 altima was going, though i had replaced it myself about a year before. i called up numerous shops, and many were very excited to quote me a price of somewhere in the $500-$550 to replace and alternator and the terminals. a co-worker suggested Guy & Son's. i called up and the owner asked me to describe the problem i had been having. not only did he tell me that *if* it was all of that it would be around $315, he also told me he sincerely doubted it was my alternator and instead suggested it was most likely my terminals. the next day he called and told me that it was indeed just my terminals and that my total was $57 for parts and labor. when i arrived he also gave me a sheet with some other things that needed to be repaired on the car. all of the repairs he had listed i knew were things that were going to need to be repaired, and he had been nice enough to give my car a once-over without even asking. there was never any pressure from them to do the repairs, they were just being friendly and helpful. i have been bringing my car there ever since, and every single repair that is done for has actually been a little cheaper than the ballpark estimate they give me. i cannot recommend this shop highly enough. 5 stars. -Eli
