Prior to moving back to these frozen northlands, I was living in NC and just visiting now and then. (Always in summer, of course.) One time, I am already to leave the next morning, car's packed etc, when it starts making this awful noise and steering badly. Desperate, I agreed to try my mom's favorite auto repair shop. They diagnosed the problem right off, but the part was 2 days in coming. They were very nice about the whole thing and flat out told me should I leave for NC anyway, I would not make it except by picking up a tow truck somewhere along the line. The part arrived and they dropped everything and had it ready asap. Numerous times I have taken my car in for repairs and been told that it was something cheap and easy to fix. Now, I am a 5'3", 125lb very blond woman. Can you guess how many times I have been, uh, taken for a ride by repair shops? Never these guys

I consider myself very fortunate to have been referred to this garage. They have done some simply repairs for nothing, remind me of the maintenence work that needs to be done, and refer work out that is beyond what they can or want to deal with. My 70 year mother and all her friends go there and never have I heard a bad thing. As a rather thin, 5'3" petite blond, I have so many mechanics, (and contracters), try to screw me thinking I am also a complete idiot. How refreshing Mechetti's is in that they have always treated me with respect... I highly recommend them. You may have to wait for routine work, but if it's an emergency they will work you in somehow.

We took in my sons 11 yr. old pickup for a clutch and transmission problem. Other preliminary estimates had been high. Transmission was unique and hard to find, but, Steve was able to find a rebuilt transmission and brought it in from out of town at a very reasonable price. Once part was obtained, it took only one day to complete work. Total time in shop 3 days. Shop has been at this location for over 20 years.
