On the previous page I didn't check either of the boxes relating to guarantees because I have never needed to find out what Roland's policy is. In six years of taking my old Saab to him, I have never had to take it back for anything he has fixed. I clicked several of the boxes saying he specializes in things, not because I am confused and think one person can be a specialist in many things (unless their name is Ray or Tom!), but because he specializes in Saabs and how to fix anything that can go wrong with one. He has done expert repairs for me, from rebuilding the transmission to making it handle like a dream after a crash made it very skittery. And I have to be thoroughly boring and admit I don't have any particular experiences or anecdotes to share beacuse there aren't any. Roland is a craftsman who simply gets on with the job, does exactly what is necessary and no more, and lets his work speak for him (and his fair prices).

Please don't take your car to him. He is getting too busy, and if I don't say, "Please," I often have to wait a few days to bring my car in for service. Here's the simple scoop: This is a man who does the work on Saab's like your father told you the mechanics were like when there really were mechanics. Roland is a true craftsman and I have always [10+ years now] left with a sense of satisfaction and fairness on his part. That's a rare quality these days.
