these guys do UNBELIEVABLE body work. i have had the misfortune to use their services many times. they were recommended to me by the owners of the garage where i parked my car, when the car jockey's destroyed the side of my door. i have been using ft. washington auto body (but not the parking garage!) ever since. (two cars; 6 years) i've recommended them to more than a dozen people who hav e had the misfortune to need auto body work, and everyone's been a satisfied customer. (even our local city councilman uses these guys!) they also specialize in luxery cars: lotsa jags, beemers, etc, and more than a few bentleys and rolls's. the shop is not that convenient to get to, but there is a car rental place in the lobby of the building, and the owners have been known to give customers a lift home or to nearby public transportation after they've dropped their cars off. this shop is actually fairly expensive, although they have cut me a break when the situation warranted. but the work is worth it. they are one of two shops in the area (bronx, upper manhattan, lower westchester) that bakes the paint on. the work is seamless; when your car is finished, you can't tell where the original paint stops and the repair job starts. and these guys are really pleasant to deal with. it would be overstating to say that it makes getting into a car accident worthwhile, but if you need that kind of service, it's nice to deal with such great people.

A regular customer at the store I work in backed her Jeep Grand Cherokee onto the bumper and hood of my car. Her insurance company recommended Fort Washington and I went over to get an estimate and a few pictures taken. When I walked in I expected to be confronted with people who would try to blame the accident on me or pull some kind of scam, however, my experience was completely the opposite. The minute I walked in I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness from Tommy and Dan. They worked with me to get the insurance company on the phone, and arrange a rental car which picked me up at the shop and brought me to Enterprise. The repair took about a week which I was glad to wait for because the amazing job they did on the bumper, grill and hood of my car. It looks brand new. Also, I didn't have to pay a penny out of my pocket, because the driver at fault's insurance company agreed to take 100% responsibility. This was not the original offer her insurance company gave me, they wanted me to take 10% fault for not honking, but with some advice from one of the guys at the shop I was able to get what I rightfully deserved. I am very grateful to Fort Washington Auto Body and would absolutely recommend anybody that needed body work to them in a heart beat!
