Rennsport has been our mechanics for over ten years. They are primarily client driven for people with high end cars. They have worked on various Mercedez, Audi, Porche, Lotus, BMW and Volvo for us. They set THE standard for all other mechanics. They are meticulous, professional, attentive, pro-active, and just like Click and Clack, they have great senses of humor. They have our safety as their primary concern. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. I'd say they are worth a trip from anywhere in Westchester or Fairfield county if someone has a high end car that they really car about.

I have used Rennsport to service my 1995 A6q 2.8, 1999 A4q 1.8t and now 2000 A6q Avant. They have always provided the highest quality service. They have been patient and cooperative as I have had tires/wheels shipped directly to them from Tirerack. When Tirerack sent the wrong spacers and lugs, Rennsport worked directly with the Tirerack guys to get the correct items shipped. Rennsport even shipped back the wrong parts back to Tirerack! The labor rate is slightly below the dealer rate and the shop is far more convenient. The shop is a short ride from the Katonah or Bedford Hills MetroNorth station and the guys will drop you off in your car if needed. Ed has left the business and now Chris and Mike handle everything in the same friendly manner as before. Highly recommended.

I left my 2000 Audi A6 in to have the brakes checked. They were very responsive and called me to tell me what they had found, and what they recommended doing. They could have told me that I need new pads and rotors on all wheels, and I would not have known the difference. They did not try to sell me more than I needed. They had the work done on time and the cost was reasonable. Their facility was clean and very professional, and Ed, the owner, was very courteous. They work on some exotic cars and I would not hesitate to bring any of my cars there in the future.

Why oh why did I not take my car to them in the first place. Finally a shop I can trust. They are honest, meticulous and courteous. They are very methodical in addressing a problem - they diagnose the problem first rather than throw parts at the problem and expect something to happen. When they know what is exactly wrong, they will call before they begin repair - a very welcome change from other shops who present you with a surprise bill when you pick up your car. If there is an unexpected delay or additional work as a result of unforeseen circumstances, they will call you to let you know - each time. As one reviewer noted, they will not sell more than you need, and they will work with you to set up inclemental repairs if budget is on one's mind. They are real professionals and take their trade seriously, yet they are very easy to talk to and are patient listeners. In short, they have set a standard for all the shops out there.

This is a clean and well organized shop that exudes professionalism. However, their competence with the electronics and controls in late model European cars is suspect. I've paid dearly for their lack of proficiency. Small problems not diagnosed and fixed correctly have led to huge repair bills on more than one occasion. Their labor rates are about the same as the dealer's.
