Convenience first brought me to Phil's -- I lived in the condo's across the street (I could, and have pushed my 1- ton, 12 passenger, heavy-duity everything, B350 5.2L Dodge Ram van across the street). I use my vehicle for work and put hundreds of thousands of miles on it, so it broke down regularly. I won't go into the myriad of satisfied jobs performed on my vehicle, but instead, will get down to what's important. Unless you're getting towed (in which case I strongly suggest Scott's Towing Service next door 732.636.1782), never drop off your car before Thursday -- he won't get to it until then. Don't ask when it will be done, he won't tell you. It's not that he doesn't know when he'll get around to you, he'll tell you that. It's that he is actually an honest mechanic and refuses to lie to you to make you feel better. What you will get instead, is a job done right the first time -- every time. He is not the most or least expensive per job, but the time and money one saves on consecutive repairs to solve the same problem makes him the best automotive value in the Tri- State area. Moreover, I was always informed of up-and- coming concerns regarding worn parts, maintenance, and roughly how long I had before I was putting my live in danger. I've been stranded and had to use other garages, and more often than not, I found myself going to Phil to get the problem solved right.

We've always received a well done job at a fair price.
