Dario is one of the oddest, sweetest, guldurn mechanics I've met. He'll listen to your tale o' woe, smile, suggest some price and date of completion. When you call the next day, you'll find your car done, and the quoted price halved. The man's got little elves working bigtime OT, I swear. Check him out....

Dario has an amazing amount of know-how that he can not only use to repair the car, but can tell to his customers. He has a good networking relationship with parts people in the area, and does a super job on medium-sized repairs (struts, tie-rods, rear axle). He also can tell you how to do many smaller repairs yourself (four screws here, replace this "black box," and you're done. Occasionally gets overloaded with work: you can see up to a dozen vehicles in his shop at one time. However, he does it right the first time, especially with Volvos.

I read through the other comments and agree 100% Dario is a very hard worker and is willing to take the time to make the repair right. The only problem is he's so popular it may take 3 weeks to get an appointment, so make sure you plan ahead! August, 2003

Dario is great! He'll tell you what HAS to be done to fix your immediate car problem(s), he'll also tell you what you COULD do if you wanted to spend a little extra money and perhaps get a better result. His rates are always reasonable, the work is good, and if he runs accross something he thinks another mechanic can do a better or cheaper job of fixing for you, he'll tell you AND recommend a shop. I've also had good experiences with anyone he's recommended, too.

It started like this, I am new to my area and a business associated recommended a local (to the office and not these fine men) mechanic who turned out to be a real piker. He did a brake job for me and it turn out to be real disaster. Now to the part of Dario and Issac. They two guys really care about people. They do not know me from adam and I called today with my problem that my wheels are shaking and making all kinds of noise. Dario told me not to drive the car and have it brought as soon as possible. When I got there after work, Issac was there and he said to me, "I will have a bay free in a couple of moments and will get it right up. We like to take care of emergencies right away." With in 15 minutes he resolved my problem which turn out to be loose lug nuts (left that way by the piker). Issac was excellent to deal with. He was honest, pleasant and sincere. These two menchanics have my business and I would recommend them to anyone that needs a good menchanic!

We have taken our cars ('94 Civic, '94 Corrolla) several times now and have always been immensely satisfied with the service and price. Dario will not do any work that you don't ask for without ensuring that you approve. He does excellent work at very reasonable prices. His personality takes a little getting used to (very dry) but he is completely honest, will explain everything if asked and if you get him talking he has a sense of humor. As an example of prices I recently had him replace the entire exhaust pipe (inclunding catalytic converter), timing belt, water pump and alternator and AC belts on the '94 Civic. The cost was $320 for parts and $225 for labor, it was done in a day. So for he has been the best mechanic I have found anywhere.

Dario is a top-of-the-line mechanic. I've always found that if you have an emergency with your car, he'll find a way to squeeze your repair into his busy schedule. Most importantly, you always know that you'll get your car fixed right the first time--I've never had a problem with anything he has repaired.

Dario is the best! I won't repeat what's been said over and over again that you can read for yourself. But, let me give you an example: My car was having charging problems. Dario said put a battery charger on it and bring it over (about 10 miles). Well, I didn't make it. Dario stopped what he was doing (and trust me, he's a busy guy) and came to my rescue in a heart-beat. Another time I thought the starter was shot. Described the symptoms to Dario over the phone... and he said to get the battery tested. Of course he was right on (which saved me a bunch since the battery was still under warranty!). I could go on and on. My daughters all take their cars to him. Good guy!

Dario is a one-of-a-kind guy - and one of the few people I'm comfortable to have work on my cars. His shop is in a run-down (but not dangerous) neighborhood in Trenton in an old gas station where classical music blares from an old transistor radio perched on top of the sailboat he has parked in one of the bays. Dario's clients range from local denizens and their '80s-vintage Fords and Toyotas to the affluent commuters with shiny BMWs and Volvos. He can be a bit cranky at times and some projects take longer than others but they are always done right and at a fair price. He's almost too honest for his own good and will recommend against investing in a repair if the car is not worth it. Dario also keeps track of cars that his customers are trying to sell - and sometimes keeps them on his lot. If you are looking for a solid used vehicle this might be worth a shot.

I have been going to Dario for 30 years. He is the most trustworthy and loyal shop I have ever used. He is quick to let me know if the repair is not worth the value of the car, which is not typical of auto repair shops - forfeiting a profit for the benefit of the customer. There have been numerous times over the years where he could have charged me as much as he wanted, and instead told me that the problem was a minor $10 fix. He's awesome. I have sent everyone I know there and everyone I have sent has been impressed with him and grateful for the referral to him. He knows his automobiles so well that he frequently knows what the problem is from our initial phone conversation. He explains the repairs, what they will cost, what they will effect, if I need to do them or not, and how to get around doing it if I need to. He is an incredibly rare individual who consistently treats his customers fairly and honestly.
