They're really nice, explain things as well as you want them to (while not speaking to you like you're a moron, even if you are), and they're most reliable. They had a mechanic named Ed who was great, and recently left (onward to bigger and better things only), but Pete's still teriffic!

Autoworks is a dream repair shop. Service is prompt, courteous and competent. These guys actually think! Peter and his mechanics look at a problem and figure out a solution. Example: I bought a new car and the trim around the window kept flying off. The dealer couldn't fix it. I took it in without an appointment (I was a new customer) and Peter looked at the trim and the part holding it on, got a match, heated the part up and presto! it was fixed and never came off again. Peter doesn't treat women like morons. He gives thoughtful answers to questions. He admits when he doesn't know the answer. Example: I have a car alarm. I know there is a switch to turn it off somewhere. I couldn't find it. They couldn't either!

Peter has been working on my cars since 1992 -- first a Saab, then a VW Jetta and now a 1995 VW Golf. They are the best! I trust him/them completely. For example, they warn me when the breaks will need fixing ("looks like you've got about 3 months left on the rear ones") rather than tell me I need all new breaks immediately. They explain what they're doing and why. They fix it the first time. They give me a ride home if I want one when I have to leave my car for service. I have been researching cars to buy a new one and Pete has been very helpful in talking with me about my options.
