I have used these mechanics for over 20 years. I actually look forward to seeing them when I have a problem. They have worked on Honda, Jeep and Mercedes for me. I never take my cars back to the dealer except for recalls. I've been blessed to have them! Same guys all this time, so it must also be a great place to work too! I'm female and they always treat me with respect and honestly. It's the type of place where they'll stay open later, just for you -- so you can get there to pick up your car. How rare is THAT?

Discovered this STS (which is actually in Lawrenceville, on Route 1) from driving by and seeing the positive review here on Mechanics' Files. I can happily confirm that the service is of high caliber. Originally brought my Ford Escape in for brake problems; the pedal was pushing all the way down and the dash light was on, an obvious brake system problem. They honestly evaluated the simple problem (loose master cylinder cap), ordered the part and my car was back with me the next AM for under $90. I was happy. Just had my 90K service done on the car, cost $400 - included a fuel system cleaning, filters throughout and tranny service. Also, the struts and shocks need to be replaced soon, the quote was $750 for the whole shebang. It seems as though they are charging prices, and the service is always really friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.

I submitted the previous review about my vehicle - the car needed shocks/strut work. Since I wrote that, there is a new service manager at this STS who is *big* on doing upsell to products like engine flushes. Every time I bring one of our cars in for maintenance, there seems to be a new $70-80 service that my cars 'need'. Also, after having the shocks and struts repaired, there was a nagging flutter in the front end. Turns out the tie rod ends were not replaced when the suspension work was done. The service manager tried to tell me my wife 'had been driving the car too hard' and 'wore them out prematurely'. Running errands in the neighborhood? We've stopped going here, and are sad about it. They used to be great, and much of their existing staff is skilled and friendly. But we've moved on because the SM didn't tell me the truth and because of upselling. (Incidentally, this does not seem to be the case with other STS locations. I actually now patronize another one and am happy with them)
