We have been taking all of our cars to Gary, the owner of Woodstock Automotive, no matter WHERE his shop moves, for over twenty years. His new location is at the intersection of Route 15N and Bershire Valley Road, quite a haul from our home; but we'd drive to Mars for his top-notch skills, his honesty, and his hilarious sense of humor. It was hard to pick one kind of car from your drop-down menu, because he's serviced several Hondas, Toyotas, and now Hyundais for us over the years. We do not buy a new car without a preliminary consult with Gary first. He and his wife, Betty, who runs the front desk, are really a pleasure to deal with. (They like us even better since I started listening to Car Talk, and now go in and make the noises I hear the car making!) Years ago I went in, certain I needed something really serious in the front end. I suggested all kinds of $$$ things to check. When we picked up the car, he said the front left tire was under- inflated. "Keep an eye on it." He's worth his weight in gold. Or titanium....
