This is a one man shop, so the boss/owner is always the guy working on your car. Dedicated professional with an old fashioned shop where you can usually find someone hanging out talking sports. One of the few shops that still always test drives a car before handing you the keys. Joe also does what he can to do the job right, but without unnecessary expenses. Community minded guy, also.

my previous mechanic said my car needed a new alternator before he could even think about giving my car a tune up -- - but said that he didn't have time to put a new one in even though i had dropped it off the night before (*FUME*) THIS guy was open, answering his phone EARLY (7 AM!!), and, while he couldn't promise that he would have it fixed that morning, he would try to get to it that day being that he was close by and that he got a really favorable review here (and it sounded legit), i decided to chance it i returned from a walk that afternoon (i left around 11:30 thinking this guy might have my car overnight, and resigning myself to the fact), and i see i got a message it's this guy ^ --- telling me i just had a loose belt and that he had already fixed it and that it was running like a champ mind you i had already told him what the prev. "mechanic" said --- and he could have simply put in a new alternator in addition to the belt --- and he knew i would have paid him what he asked --- BUT HE DIDN'T! when i told him that i had read his review on this site, HE NEVER HEARD OF CAR TALK (i'm not sure if he even knows about public radio ;) ) but that just proves that this guy's a genuine HONEST, COMPETENT MECHANIC --- and that the other reviews here are written by his actual customers (and not by the owner, his brother in law, or by the german shepherd he keeps in his shop when he's closed :P )! PS the guy's shop is a little tricky to get to if you're not coming from route 1 be sure to call for specific directions
